First of all, I'd like to commend Coach Mark Fox for a couple of things.
One is for how much he cares for his players and gets them to graduate.
Nobody in the country does it (graduate players) better and there's a lot of young men who have come through their program that are better for having played for Coach.
From what I can tell, his players love him. Not saying that's always been the case, but this year's squad certainly seems to.
He brought Georgia back to a level of consistency - in terms of victories - that hadn't been the case in the few years before he arrived.
I personally think he's a good coach, although like many of you, there have been some moves he's made on the court that have had me scratch my head. But I can say that about every coach I've ever covered the past 30 years.
However ... much like the question was with Mark Richt, I think you have to ask whether or not the Bulldog basketball program has peaked under his leadership as many have suggested. It's hard to make an argument to suggest otherwise.
Yes, I predicted this team would reach the NCAAs. They did not, and are now relegated to the NIT for the second year in a row.
It's completely understandable to me why many want to see a change.
There's no reason Georgia shouldn't be able to take that next step - and that is get to a level like Florida (has been) and South Carolina appears to be at right now.
I can see (and actually have seen for a while) why many are demanding a change.
It's hard to disagree.
