I've turned step son into a Nature Boy,

Not gonna lie, I was expecting some Ric Flair action in this thread.
My favorite Ric Flair -

“ You may not like it , but you better sit down and learn to love it , because it’s the best thing going today!”

Try Bald cypress. They’re easy. Very high germination rate.

thing is;
i've nowhere to put another tree.
it's only for fun to maybe give them away to needy (tree) families, eh?

plus, I'm going to need That space come April...

Have any seeds?… could use a 100 or so… :)
Just pluck a couple of balls from a cypress this fall or pick up from ground underneath . Break balls apart and each has 6-8 seeds. You can improve germination with cold stratification ( put in cup of water and stick in refrigerator a few months). But that’s not required. I’ve had best luck germinating in pot of sandy soil. Keep damp. Bald Cypress are very fast growing in good soil.

he's out there now taking picures of Monarch catapillars.
even found some pupae stuck to the fence...
an unasumming fellow can make a difference,
if he can play The Game?
magnolias work when other trees lose leaves, privacy. I’ve been trying to grow them for years with mixed success.
