Last year he broke out and was top 4 in the league. He did so coming off a terrible injury and over his best playing weight.
He's dropped 10lb, he says he's faster, quicker and stronger than he's ever been. Matt Ryan has looked more accurate than ever in the preseason and The Falcons don't have another great option, White is on the decline and the TEs are not among the better groups in the league by any stretch. I think we'll see a fast start to his season tonight and he'll keep rolling through the season.

You just made an argument for Julio seeing constant safety help over the top because the Falcons don't have another viable option...not following your logic...

They have options, Julio is just their only real star. The logic is Ryan has always spread the ball around fairly evenly. Last year is the first time Julio was clearly THE guy. He responded with close to 1600 yards and 101 catches. He's healthier now, in better condition and Ryan looks better than ever. If White was still a high level star and Gonzalez was on the team, he likely wouldn't get enough opportunities needed to be one of the two first team All-Pro WRs.

Well, Julio had a game in spite of Ryan. Unless Matty INT gets his head out of his ass, those picks could come back to bite him as the season wears on. Great win though tonight for the Birds!

Ryan has always seemed ready to become elite, then he loses it and throws some really lame ints. If he didn't spaz out at times he'd be as good at the short to medium game as anybody.
