First and foremost, Our QB play cannot get much worse than last year. I loved Mason as a person, and yea he was a great dawg that hung in there for his shot, but we cant escape the fact that his arm was not strong enough to throw the deep ball and loosen up coverage's. Also, He became spastic at crucial moments of games. For example, although I strongly disagree with the play selection on 1st and Goal vs. SC, he still could have easily thrown the ball out of the back of the end zone or hit our WIDE OPEN fullback in the flats on a lob, but instead he decides to throw it into the knee of an oncoming pass rusher! He had multiple moments like this that ended drives and kept our young defense on the field.
Secondly, I am stoked about our defensive secondary and line backing core; however, I do have questions about our interior defensive line. Who will be the guy to step up, and who will be the young guy that proves his worth. Also, I don't hear much about Natrez Patrick and Chuks Amaechi. In my opinion they played great in the spring game for only being on campus for 3 months. I really think Natrez Patrick can end up being the guy who steps up and makes plays. He reminds me of Patrick Willis when he first arrived on the scene at Ole Miss. He took MAYS HIGH SCHOOL TO A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
