With my college semester starting and writing opportunities, I've been so busy that I haven't had time to post very much.
Admittedly, some of this will be regurgitated. Hard not to regurgitate when you've had an entire offseason to talk about something right? Some of it however will be from my own mind and observations that I've gathered from talking to people and reading the good work done here by the staff.
-REALLY like recruiting right now. Georgia will get better on 9/4 and there are a couple names out there that haven't been talked about much with legitimate interest. We are about to get waaaay better at ILB in a hurry over the next few years.
-I know JUCOs haven't been good to us in the past but I really like Moore. He would be a good pick up to go along with Willie or even Dickerson. Wouldn't rule out EJ either. That's gonna get interesting IMO.
-Brian Burns is a monster. Really kinda similar to Leonard Floyd to me in that he's a little skinny. Paging Hocke.
-I still think Georgia gets Kyle Davis. Biggest WR recruit since AJ to me.
-I really like where we're at at center. I know some people have said this is a concern to them but I like the way Bull plays. He's a manchild and as with our last 2 centers, effort will never be a question.
-Goes without saying, need to keep that first 5 healthy. Don't want my All-SEC guard playing tackle. With that being said, Sims and Wynn (especially) are very good players.
-Trenf will help our DL right away but I really believe we'll look back and say, "Man, Bailey and DeLoach were good this year." Barnett will also play a lot too. I've said it before. This guy is a baller that no one is looking at.
-Terry Godwin is electric and I think you'll finally see Reggie Davis come alive this year as well.
-Keith Marshall will rush for around 550-600 yards. I really believe that.
-Best group of TEs in a while. Blaze is a mismatch.
-You know about the linebackers and I think either Jake or Radi wrote a story on it but watch Davin Bellamy. He's gonna come outta nowhere.
-Juwuan Briscoe will be a name you know well by season's end.
-If I'm Schotty, I'm developing "The Patriot Package" with Sony and McKenzie in both slots. I'm sure he doesn't like to do 4 wides because he's big on TEs. But it's crazy just how multiple Georgia will be able to be.
-On Lambert, I really can honestly say I thought when Jake ran the story on him coming here that he'd win the job. He's a heady guy and CMR loves cerebral QBs. Unless the arm talent is insane (Stafford) he's gonna go with the thinker. Greyson has been said to have the mind of an OC.
He really does remind me of a slightly taller, more athletic Greenie.
-Some people have wondered how the snaps will be divided up. I really believe that if Lambert plays really well saturday he'll have the Vandy game locked up regardless of how Brice does. I think you'll see the snaps divided similar to Greene and Shock. Just based on flow of the game.
Alright I'll shut up now with my obvious self. Gotta get some shut eye. I'll be lurking. You guys be good.
Once a Dawg, always a Dawg, how sweet it is.
GATA!
