On AppleTV I just watched the 1990 UGA vs Florida game, available on ESPN. UGA won in a terrific comeback but what I loved watching was the quality of play.
This team was Neville Austin, Alex Kessler, Marshall Wilson, Litterial Green, Rod Cole. Off the bench was Shaun Golden and Jody Patton. What struck me was how good Neville was, long, fluid, rebounder, soft touch. One thing I remember about Litterial is how many layups he missed and he missed at least 5 in this game, but he also nailed some threes.
Any of these players would be a welcome addition to today's team. In fact, I believe we could win 25 games with these guys. They went 20-9, 7 seed NCAA, lost to Texas first round. This was back when Hugh could still coach. Yeah, yeah, I know Fox would only win 17.
