If you just look at the stats yesterday then you would think we dominated that game and that the final score shouldn’t have been as close as it was..

- 458 yards total offense (309 for SCar)
- 29 first downs (17 for SCar)
- 37 minutes time of possession
- +2 in the turnover battle

So what is everyone’s thoughts on why the final score didn’t reflect the stats? Obviously the two missed FG are easy to point at but in general I think it’s our red zone offense. We have to find go to guys and better play calling when we get that close. Also, I would say we need more explosive plays in general as while 29 first downs is great it also means we had to methodically work down the field. Overall, I think the ingredients are still there for a really good offense but it just seems between QB, play calling and OL play that we can’t consistently get on the same page. Hoping to see them take another step forward against UAB.
