on offense. Tonight was the most boring, conservative, straightforward offensive game plan and playcalling exhibition I have ever seen. Even a bootleg would be exotic for us at this point. Give me an end-around to Godwin or Mitchell. Why not try some wildcat? Hell, let's get crazy and let Lambert keep it just ONE TIME on a zone read run. Lord knows the defense isn't respecting it or expecting it. We've only done it once this year that I can recall, and what do you know – we scored a touchdown against Vandy. LSU has what many would consider a conservative offense, yet they broke out a flea-flicker and a fake field goal, not to mention numerous downfield passes, tonight alone. Stanford is about as conventional as it gets, and they did a reverse pitch-back pass for a long touchdown the other night. We have literally never tried anything even close to that tricky in 15 years under CMR- not even close. Other teams break out stuff like that on a weekly basis, and have success with it. Ole Miss did and over-and-throw on the second play of the game for a touchdown today – one more touchdown than we scored in our entire game right there!

Obviously our "regular" offense wasn't working worth a damn tonight, but I guess it was good enough for Richt & Schotty not only to stick with the QB that was mangling it, but the same old plays that weren't working over and over, all night long. Man, it was just painful to watch. The least we can do is spice it up a bit at this point. Because to my eyes, we have regressed significantly on offense as the season has worn on. Really worried what the rest of the year might look like.
