Looking back, if we beat Alabama nothin really changes... still ranked #2 and Alabama not in playoff. The same goes with ole miss.
However, if we would've beat both of them then we would've been ranked #1 with (as it appears to me) a much harder bracket in the playoff. Kirby knows what he's doing. He lost them games on purpose.
