Well the lastest rumor is Richt stepping down after tech game. They worried about smart. Smart be our next coach.

So if this is true would Pruitt stay and be the DC for Kirby? I don't see this happening and truth is I would hope if we were going to replace Richt it would be with a proven head coach. What if Kirby is Muschamp 2.0? Is it Saban's defense or Kirby's? Seems to me that would be a gamble.

Well that's the thing or what I'm also hearing we prompt Pruit. But muschamp is a idiot to begin with

None of this is coming from anybody who knows jack.
I'll give My educated guess and an opinion though.
Guess. no decision has been made on CMR.
Opinion. Coach Richt should be forced to replace Schotty. If he refuses, consider it his resignation.

My guess is that ADGM is forced out. Just my opinion, but was has the athletic department as a whole done since his arrival? Baseball sucks, Gymnastics sucks, women's Bball sucks, Football underachieves, volleyball sucks. So do we trust an AD to bring in a top notch coach for football? The previously mentioned sports we suck at are all hires that ADGM made. We have become a country club school. Generally tennis and golf have been good, equestrian has been good and our swim teams have been good.

I was all for hiring Stricklin, he seemed like a HR hire, he still might end up being one.
I wanted a proven hire to replace Landers, but as far as presentation, I like how she looks so far.

I don't see a change at AD, it would surprise me if it happens.

Coach Stricklin has been here 2 yrs and had a big mess to clean up after Perno. Sort of like what CMR had to do with coaches, players, etc. around the region after Donnan. Not only that, Coach Stricklin was a tremendous fundraiser in the Foley Field renovation. This past year, we were devastated with injuries including to 2 pitchers.

As for Danna Durrante, she's got the Gymdawgs back in national contention in the 3 years she's been here. First time since Yoculan . Just getting to the nationals is a feat. And graduating them with honors. This after the disastrous Jay who was Yoculan's choice for her replacement.

Basketball..........I like Mark Fox. That said, he's not brought what we wanted. Thought it would be there last year, almost was, but then injuries set in. Like Stricklin, he inherited a mess with coaches around the region after the previous bb coach. That takes time. But if he doesn't produce this year I think we'll have to do something.

So far, players seem to be responding to n ew women's basketball coach. Wasn't sure of the hire when Andy retired a few mos ago, but so far, so good. She's young, enthusiastic and ready to prove herself. She'll work hard. But I DO like the up tempo and the smiles, etc. on the court I've seen. They seem to really like her and want to win for her.

Yes, swimming, golf, tennis, equestrian, women's softball, etc always remain in national title hunt.

As for ADGM, I still think his hands were completely tied when Adams was here. Jere's only been Prez 18 mos and we can see what they can do. Foley renovations, new IPF, new locker room at stadium (DESPERATELY needed...a real embarrassment, as was Foley) We'll also see when this football season is over. Some will be happy, some will be furious I imagine.

There isn't another Yoculan, never has been.
I do think We've fallen off more than We should have though. There's no reason other than coaching We shouldn't have continued to be the top program in The SEC.
I'd hire Yoculan back in a minute, I don't care a bit about her personal life.

Not sure I understand you, but Durrante is getting us back to national prominence. Something Yoculan's hand picked successor couldn't do.

McGarity stays, everyone else is gone including Pruitt.

Jere Morehead is a CMR fan and supports him. ADGM is less of a CMR fan. Morehead and ADGM are not the best of buds, so I have from several people. Again, rumor and speculation, but I've heard some of the big money that wants CMR to stay want Morehead to get rid of ADGM. Based on what I heard, sounds like there might be some merit to the rumor. Guess we will all know something soon enough.

Still, We're not THE top program in The SEC anymore, We should be. We had carved out that niche.
Florida has taken over Our former position. There really isn't any prominence in finishing behind them while they win titles every year.
There was only UCLA and the field in NCAA basketball in the 60s, UF owns that spot in Women's Gymnastics now.

Durrante's had 3 seasons after picking up the pieces of what Jay left, so you're saying she was bad hire or should be gone. Got it. This is the 1st time Fla's had any prominence in gymnastics. It was us, Bama, Utah and UCLA for years. But there's only 6 teams across the country who get to try for it all and Durrante's got us back to that event.
