I don't think that CMR going outside to grab Lambert speaks to his ability to develop the other 3 QBs on the team. This is the way it certainly looks and sounds like things are shaping up: You have Ramsey who has all of the physical tools, but has never looked like a team leader. There is nothing about the kid that looks like he can command a huddle and get his team to follow him. Then you have Bauta who is a team leader and his team looks up to him, but he doesn't possess the physical tools to be an SEC QB. Then you have Park who has the tools and the ability to command the huddle, but he just isn't there from a scheme/reading defenses standpoint... So, you bring in Lambert who has the physical tools and the leadership ability. Put the stats out of your mind for a second because he is the only one of the four who have anything to go off of. From purely the eye test, Lambert is the most complete package of all four. I have no idea if he will win the job, but I think he has a better than 50/50 shot, and if he doesn't win it, I have to assume that he pushes Ramsey to make the necessary adjustments to be a leader. Unfortunately, being a leader is something that is more inherent, and you have to have that at the QB position.
