I think last night was about as bad as you can feel offensively after scoring 5 runs. Stricklin was quite candid in his commentary after the game too (though I wonder how much of that offensive situation he’s creating rather the solving).
We played so well this past weekend. I wouldn’t have thought with such a veteran team that there would be any let up after that, but maybe there has been. Since tech, we just haven’t done much at the plate.
UMass didn’t play on opening weekend. They dropped a series at Delaware State and then were swept last weekend by The United States Navy. UMass allowed 31 runs over the weekend against the Midshipmen. We really ought to be able to hit these guys.
It’s going to be a nice day today. Should warm up a good bit by 2p. Let’s get these bats going!
