Kirby has won with better talent than his opponent, deeper roster than his opponent, and superior team leadership from a championship culture. Our lines of scrimmage are not close to elite (OL injuries, DL roster), our pass rush and run defense is “very good not great “, our OL doesn’t not get push in the running game, and our secondary is inconsistent with players that are not elite. Our WR/TE room has not come close to backfilling mccconkey and bowers. two transfer WRs are suspended. I am frustrated to watch this team make the same mistakes off the field over and over. We’re not as talented and the team leadership is harder to develop in the era of portal transfers. It’s a new era, ask Saban who is sitting in the booth. We’ll figure it out…but not in 2024. This is a 3 loss team.
