Just back from a business trip and rocking a sinus infection that will probably ground me for the weekend. So let’s have a little NFL chatta.
QBs:
Cousins: I still think Minny does what it needs to do to re-sign him but I sure am reading a lot about the Falcons willing to be a strong bidder for his services. It doesn’t hurt that his wife is from Alpharetta and went to UGA.
Mayfield: Still feel strongly the Bucs ante up and sign him to a 4 year deal.
Justin Fields: I’ll say Pittsburgh trades for him. If that doesn’t happen, I can see the Steelers signing Tannehill since Arthur Smith is there as OC.
Russell Wilson: I’ll say Vegas. That franchise just seems like the one that would gamble on Wilson.
Caleb Williams: Bears.
Drake Maye: Commanders.
Jayden Daniels: Falcons
JJ McCarthy: Denver.
Garoppolo: Back to New England.
RBs:
Usually, FA RBs aren’t much of a discussion but there are some big names out there this year. I also don’t believe any will be signed to the franchise tag since that number will be so big.
Saquon: Dallas. Cowboys don’t have the cap space but I figure Jerry will make some room for a name like Saquon.
Jacobs: Bengals. Have a feeling Mixon is done in Cincy and Jacobs is younger. Cincy has solid cap space.
Henry: Ravens. They just love to maul people.
Pollard: Houston Texans. Still youngish without a ton of tread on the tires.
NFL offseason is the absolute best. The way they set it up is pure genius. Senior Bowl, Combine, free agency, draft. Never stops.
