there appears to lots of hostility this morning among many DAWG brethren concerning the signing day decisions of both Godwin and Slayton. Just traded texts with my Barner buddy (source) and I have both great and good news to report. The great news first, Godwin will sign with Georgia on Wednesday. This info on Godwin is as recent as this am and comes from big Auburn supporter that lives in Troup County, is employed by the county, and has two daughters that attend Callaway. He has many connections both in the county and at the school. Matter of fact, he met CMR on the visit to Callaway yesterday. Godwin really respects and likes Gus thus the reason for the in home visit this weekend. Also, he said you must really know Terry to understand he is one of those kid's with a personality that just doesn't feel comfortable turning down or saying no to those portraying to affect his future in a positive way. When you have a kid as talented as Godwin, you don't leave any unfired bullets in your gun and that's just what Auburn is doing with the in-home this weekend. You never know what might happen with an 18 year old. However, the guy says Terry is just too good of a kid to have been committed over a year and then wait until NSD and leave UGA hanging. Have Gus and Auburn giving him something to think about, absolutley they have, but the guy says there is a 100% chance Godwin signs with UGA. My Barn guy is not as confident in his Slayton prediction but just said Slayton is no longer even really in play for Slayton. They are focusing their time and energy on a couple of Ohio State pledges as opposed to Slayton. One thing is for sure, time will surely tell if this info is correct but at least it's great news.
