I have tried in all my years to not interfere in decisions made by our AD. However, today’s embarrassing example of simple ineptitude is just no longer acceptable. It is painfully obvious to ANYONE who loves UGA Basketball that Fox is quite simply not invested in our program. To just turn and walk away when our chance at the NCAA tournament hung in the balance is just unacceptable.
I don’t even want to address the pitiful in game coaching that has gone on all year. The poor substitution patterns, the inexplicable lack of offense, today’s inability to break a press that everyone learns in HS etc. The simple fact is that we now CANNOT possibly make the tournament unless we win the SECT. Not going to happen with Fox and in fact, I would pray that it wouldn’t because it is simply time for Fox to go.
Why not make yourself look good and get rid of Fox today and allow Jonas Hayes to finish the season? You might actually find a good coach but if not you will have the remainder of the season to get to the front of the line in a coaching search. Both Jonas and Yasir are young coaching stars. Why not give them a chance? It is a no lose situation. There is just no way you can keep Fox for another year. JJ and Yante both will be gone. What actually do you have to lose? At least give fans something to get excited about.
