Cases of the flu are increasing across South Carolina faster than the state has seen in recent years for this early in the season, public health officials said.

For the fifth week in a row the state reported “widespread activity” of the virus, with increases seen across South Carolina.

As of Dec 12, 311 people have been hospitalized for the flu, well above the average 220 for this early in the season, and 10 deaths, DHEC data shows.

This has always been about another opportunity to die for those at-risk. Instead of worrying about just the flu, now they have to worry about the flu and CV19.

So for the majority of people, this is not a problem, yet for a significant number of people it's double the trouble.

We haven't handled this well in many ways, but here we are...
