did some Yeoman’s work tonight. I think that pitcher W/L is a pretty meaningless stat, but I really wanted him to be able to get the W tonight.
Not sure why the announcers were so surprised at his AB... it was smart to hit him when we did, but the broadcasters acted like he’d never swung a bat. He had 83 career ABs here in Athens (actually more than I would have thought)... he’s hit 1 HR and a handful of doubles. They print that info in the media guide... it’s not some secret.
Long game for the announcers too though, in fairness.
