Looking for proof that God actually exists.

There is no better argument for the existence of God than a changed life!

That's no proof at all then. We can change our lives just as we can turn left or right at an intersection. It just takes more effort and some luck.

It's ''philosophy'', much like religion it doesn't deal with scientific data.
There is no Earthly proof of any God, let alone a particular version of one.

Then provide the proof that matter just "happened" and all of this was created out of nothing.

I will hang up and wait on your answer. Please provide proof or your response will not be validated in this discussion.

I disagree. Somethings are within our power and some are not.

Still, there is no ''proof'' of God in any scientific sense. That makes it faith, not ''fact'' in the broad sense. You might be absolutely sure in your faith, but that is a personal thing.

I never claimed anything other than, there is no proof of a God.
People want to know, throughout our history we've come up with ''answers'' to what we don't know. Most have been proven wrong as science advanced.

Look up at the sky on a starry night. Hold a newborn baby. Gaze across the Grand Canyon. Take a quiet walk along the oceanfront. All of this was no accident or just popped up in a scientific way. Jesus said "he that believeth in me will have everlasting life and reside in my father's house forever." What a wonderful future to look forward to. No more trouble, sorrow or pain. Any of you that does not believe in God I pray that before your death, you will accept your heavenly father .

I get all of that, and it's clear why people believe. It doesn't answer the OP though. If the question is simply, is there empirical evidence of a God at this point in our history ? the answer is no.
It's a faith issue, not a fact issue.

"uncaused cause". Or something like that. Talks about what caused evolution,

I'm trying to find a good argument for a philosophy class that I'm taking.

The proof for me that there absolutely must be a higher force or being or entity than the pitiful human beings, who inhabit this planet. Add the fact that we human beings do not have the intelligence or the emotional stability to define, much less understand infinite space and time or who created what and why or when. We are masters ONLY of labeling things and ideas and each other. We rarely can even achieve one or our own pitiful standards, "the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth." We the peeps simply cannot get there. And we CLAIM to be the cream of our universe, the center of creation and wonderment. Do you think ants or bacteria feel the same way? Our efforts to explain "God" or creation or deny God or creation are comparable in hopelessness to a chicken trying to explain a card trick. We label and claim that as understanding. How pitiful and deceitful and self serving is that?

It seems strange people think evolution needed an intelligent designer when they believe in a God that has simply always been. Frankly from a logical perspective organic evolution makes far more sense.

There is no real ''proof'' in your ''beliefs though. That's not to say you're wrong, just that believing and proving are not the same.

You have no greater answer than the original question. Where did it all start? Poof?

So something started from nothing...........happens a the time.

Give me one single evidence of proof that something evolved, began, started.........from nothing.

Science proves nothing other than what we can touch, see, hear, smell. We can only scientifically prove what has already been in existence.

Tell me where the original atom came from.

This is a perplexing delima, isn't it.

Understanding that God created it all is much easier to believe than the magic poof theory.

You are right, but who put the organic material there to evolve? I for one believe, in a higher power but also subscribe to the Clock Maker theory.

Where did the organic material originate? Please provide proof.

Since we are be demanded proof from you.

The Big Bang is a Big Fraud. It requires as much or more faith then any religion. It is much more likely that we came from somewhere else (see Ancient Alien theories) then we originated from apes. The whole ape thing is a tragic joke on mankind perpetrated by atheists. The proof is in the pudding. No other religious book has examples of cities, and events that science has proven other than the Bible. The flood is a historical fact documented by countless cultures regardless of the Bible. The human mapping of the genome sequence has identified a potential lengthening of human life that is possible within the next 20 years by at least double (see telomeres on the chromosones). So many coincidences that an ancient book could produce so many relevant facts that science has then later proved is no coincidence. People focus too much on trying to prove something wrong rather than asking, how could they have know this was right, there must be something there for them to know this. At the end of the day since we are so weak and ignorant only faith can carry us. Life is too short to answer all the questions. However, I think you should always question but you should do so with an open mind to change.

"People focus too much on trying to prove something wrong" This has always been my problem wit Climatologists and global warming. They are all looking for a problem, When a climatologists decides to pursue that field, how many of them do so because they want to prove that global warming isn't real? Or do they ALL go into it because they want to prove that it is real, I mean their paychecks depend on proving that it is real, kind of seems to be a conflict of interest to me.

There is much evidence pointing to evolution. I don't get how can scoff at the idea of natural evolution yet think a singular magic entity simply made everything appear.

I'm sorry but I don't see much if anythingBbiblical that looks revealing of things that have come to be. My Granddad was convinced Japan would win their part of WWII because of a Biblical passage regarding a small nation in the east rising. Now some think Iran will threaten us because of the same passage. Most things written in scripture are so vague as to be open to near endless interpretation.

Why is evolution and creation theory mutually exclusive?

It isn't, in a broad sense. Of course literal verse doesn't jib with evolutionary principle, but many Christians don't see The Bible as intended to be taken strictly literally, so there is room for a meshing of the concepts.

If I took the time to try to answer your questions would you even consider changing your mind and make Jesus Christ your savior? If your answer is no then I'm not going to waste my time anymore.

I've never understood why Christians and those who believe in God waste their time on atheists and non-believers. Don't throw your seeds on the rocky ground...only those who seek God will find the truth. Once you have said it once that's all you are obligated to do. The rest is up to the non-believer and God.

This idea of proving there's not only A GOD, but also the details of Biblical teachings is not possible, so no, that is not a route that could lead me to believe.

I would say go and enjoy your life to the fullest and don't waste your time trying to convince the rest of us in your hopelessness. Go have fun and good luck.

I'm only addressing the OP and those who respond to my post. There is always ''hope'' in sound reasoning, REAL hope.

It's all a loaded question. Try "looking for proof" that no God exists. Then put that up in your philosophy class.
