Has there been a player in recent memory that has created as much hype and expectation for UGA? I know he is really good and I fully expect him to be a great player but are we building up our hopes for next year on a true Freshman? Is he a "normal" freshman that will struggle at times with the speed of the game at SEC level and make typical freshman mistakes reading the defenses? As good as Stafford was coming out of high school we all saw his struggles and although he was one of the greatest QB's in UGA history he did not lead us to a SECC. Point being, are we expecting too much from Eason or is he a once in a lifetime talent that we can build a NC around? Is the best case scenario that we find our QB this year and allow Eason to ease into the QB roll next year as a back up but get meaningful playing time or even possibly red shirt or is the consensus that he is too good to hold back? Man, I sure hope this kid has the head on his shoulders that it appears from all I've seen because he is coming in as the savior. I think UGA fans have been looking for this guy for years, committed early, loves Athens and UGA even though he is from the west coast, has recruited for UGA the past year, seems to be the total package. Personally I do not think it fazes him and he will flourish but I wonder how the fan base will react to his first bad game that will inevitably happen.
