Clyde Vansant passed away at age 98. Clyde and his wife Melba sat behind my family and me for many years beginning in 1969! He watched my kids grow up and he became part of our extended family. After my seats were moved as I was able to improve my Hartman Fund status we stayed in touch. We talked often after his wife died and he stopped coming to games due to age and various health issues. We always talked the week before the start of every season. It’s amazing the friendships you garner from following a football team. RIP Clyde! A fine Christian gentleman, and a DGD!!!!
