Best case scenario....change of scenery does him good, he shows out and wins the starting job.
Worst case scenario....he pushes Ramsey/Bauta to be the best that they can be and provides valuable depth.
My guess is that Lambert is not coming here to be a backup. He will compete. Seems to have great tools, and we know that CMR knows his QBs.
