While Zeppelin would never repeat this experiment of having a female vocalist (Sandy Denny) duet with Plant, thereās no doubt that it works a treat in āThe Battle of Evermoreā. And itās one of the aspects of Led Zeppelin IV which sets it apart from the rest of the bandās canon, confirming it as the most creative and far-reaching work they ever produced. Played most Zepplin songs 1000ās of times during the yrs, but didnāt realize Sandy Denny helped sing in a LZ songā¦or that she was the only female singer that ever sang in any LZ recording.
