The dressing down of our society amazes me. There should be some middle

ground for public attire. Going from suits in the old days to wearing PJs or next to nothing now is mind boggling.
People often look like they are headed to the beach.

Judge, how about these well dressed ladies at a luncheon in Thomaston.

My niece sent me this pic of "beauticians" from back in the day. All were wearing hats and gloves. The one in the front on the left was my beautician growing up. The pic warmed my heart.

One of my granddaddys was retired for 20 yrs before he died ..

and never left the house to "do his business" without being in a coat and tie and wearing a hat. He might go pick up the yard boy in khakis and a penguin sports shirt, but that was as low as he'd go in public. That coat and tie had to be hot in August in Albany, GA, but I never saw him sweat in it. Old school to the hilt.

Guessing most had only 1 suit back then.....

church, special occassions, burial and etc....not too many middle class.

and not a one of them had ever visited a plastic surgeon.

No cleavage shown in that room either, and no bare legs. A lady just always wore stockings when going to a function that required anything more than a house dress.
