Mark Dantonio is the best coach available for SCar. Would he try where Holtz and Spurrier...

couldn't get it done?

And, I don't think the recruiting has been stellar at USCar as of late. So, he won't be arriving to a truckload of talent.

Wouldn't think they would take a chance on a 60-something that has already had a couple of heart attacks, Of course, it is USCjr.

He's a very good coach, but I don't think he will leave Sparty for USCjr. He can compete for titles where he is at and he has better talent where he is now. This is a rebuild job at SC.

Spurrier and Holtz did get it done. Spurrier won 11 games several seasons, some of them consecutive seasons. His record was better during that period than UGA. In fact 2010-2013 SC lost 11 games while CMR dropped 18! SOS working in a state with less than half the pop of Georgia and with a big time power also in the state (who he dominated). Guy is a born prick and would be far more revered if he was not such a jagoff..........But he was a hell of a football coach, one of the best ever in CFB. And no, there is no chance of Dantonio leaving the cush Big 10 unless there is so much cash laid in front of him that he can't say no. Even though a coach of his caliber would have a chance of getting to Atlanta every year in the East where he would have several guaranteed wins each year. No chance he would go west and get into that death march.
