My memory was our 2018 defense had some big holes but still somehow had a far superior Alabama roster beaten. I assumed we’d get killed in a that game . I think that team was supposed to be one of the great teams of all time or something.
But Kirby had this amazing game plan. So I looked it up to check my memory. We had no depth and the talent was okay but nothing like we’ve had recently. How many of these guys would be on our roster now? What an amazing coaching job.
But I guess you could argue the roles have flipped. Except we aren’t a team for the ages like we were in 21. We are on the cusp of being a program for the ages - very different.
