I asked this same question when he first signed, but with Nauta added to the roster, It's worth revisiting.

At TE His 4.9 speed probably limits His upside. On the OL or DL His great frame, very good athleticism and very tenacious willingness to mix it up would be huge pluses though.
Some of the best OTs in the NFL are former TEs with similar size and athleticism to Jackson. He is one hellacious blocker and He is just as aggressive on defense. Which reminds Me, JJ Watt is also a converted TE.

So what do You think ?

I was thinking that with miney gronk coming in . I was thinking jj wat big frame big hands. If he could add a few pounds he would be one heck of a rush line backer hybrid. He reminds me of jj he would be one scarey defensive player put him at 250 260 range. Wow he would be scary looking

He's mobile, agile and hostile to boot. ( all 3 words rhyme with 'bile'.

I'm not saying He can't be a good TE for Us, I'm sure He can be.
It's a fact the only positions with as few players in The NFL are QB and FB, and the later is almost extinct. Add in the fact Jackson will be on a team with 2 players who were #1 at the position in Their classes and the fact there are more OLs in the NFL other than any other position and the math starts taking shape.
IF His coaches think He might have a future as an OL, it would be worth considering.

I think it would be worth a shot. At this point, he is only 19 pounds less than Bynum, who was I guess what you would call our backup tackle this season.

He can be a pretty good tight end for us, but we have a couple of pretty good ones already on the team. We don't have a dominating Tackle at this point.
