My daddy and my daddy's brothers; grandfather's would NOT recognize today's Democratic Party. Gone bat-shit crazy.
That is the funny thing about all this. It is why there are more registered pubs these days. Off the reservation. When a party can’t define a man and a woman anymore without a scientist present there is a huge problem. They were the party for the poor and always inclusive. They don’t for two shits for the poor anymore. Other than their vote. You either agree with them too or F off. On every single point.

The party has changed in ways both good and bad. It had to change some to win elections. McCain proved that. He was a candidate people had clamored for. He got clobbered. Same with other conservatives like him. They were boring. Didn’t connect with young voters and needed to change some of their antiquated polity views. It has become less conservative. Imo. Hell, just listen to tulsi. The party is now more about inclusion and no longer the party for just the rich and white. This had to be changed. 8 years ago you had people vilifying anyone who publicly supported maga. Today you have charlamagne the god echoing as many pub points as Dem points. You have nazir stackhouse grabbing a maga hat. A few years ago Monty rice called Hershel an Uncle Tom for supporting Trump. You have guys like Vance to replace Paul Ryan. Who fell with a tremendous thud. Trump is here because he said what others wanted to say. And the reason somehow he has remained popular. Despite your opinion. He is doing things with minority voters very few in the party have ever seen. First time ever more registered pubs than Dems. Folks would rather be independent than straight democrats these days.
I think this is the point. Republicans are light years more liberal today than they were pre-Trump. Socially and fiscally. The only reason Trump gets labeled as "far right" is because he says wild shit. Based on the historic meter going from super liberal to super far right, saying wild ass shit has nothing to do with it.
I think there is sour grapes in the fact that Trump has gained the working class and demos historically associated with democrats. Meanwhile, the left has become the party of billionaires.
The left is going to change a lot after this election. They said they would in the wake of 2016....leading to working class champion and "moderate" Joe Biden. And then Biden governed as a puppet for the far left.
The left eff'd up and is now gonna pay for it in the most painful way for the left / media: the re-election of Trump, possibly with the advantage of both the House and Senate.
Remember the Reagan dems. Dems that were previously Kennedy (rising tide lifts all boats) voters. When you look at where Reagan, Kennedy and Trump were/are in general philosophy, their not that far apart. Trump just plays full contact politics like his Dem rivals and now they are scared to death he's going to unleash a little lawfare on them. I really don't think he will for a multitude of reasons.
I think he is going to get his pound of flesh against a few. A judge or two in NY and their family members will certainly get multiple IRS Audits (as have Oriley, the late Rush Limbaugh and Hannity) But no, I don't think he'll try to arrest any of his opponents or sic the justice department on Harris or Biden. Suspect he will strip some security clearances for some of the Washington elite as well as fire FBI guy and Archives guy. Can't blame him for any of that, i would do the same.
My hope is he will appoint a no nonsense AG and tell him to pursue crimes, not people and let the chips fall where they may. I would like him to pardon Hunter and Joe on the first day for several reason and then get to work with congress on policy. I don't want his term to get bogged down with congressional Kabuki theater and unnecessary actions that give the media and the pundits ammo for cheap shots.
There is not a single American born in 1911 that would recognize the state of American politics so I'm not sure what kind of "own" this is supposed to be.
Not many people in either party that were involved in the Clinton years recognize their party today. You have to look no further than the quality of candidates for President to know we are in a hell of a mess in this country.

Found guilty of falsely providing info to obtain favorable loan terms
And my favorite, had his charges dropped by Judge Cannon who ruled that the special prosecutor was illegally appointed in spite of twenty other special prosecutors being appointed in the same manner, and those appointments were all deemed ok. For her efforts, Judge Cannon is now on the short list for Attorney General if Trump wins.

Same way the fraud case is going to bring sanctions by the appellate courts. Because it never should have been allowed to happen according to the five judges hearing the appeal. Just wait till they hear the felony conviction. The fraud case is being brought up for possible sanctions because this case has never been brought in New York before. Same deal with the felony.
The sexual assault to me is the most ridiculous. That is a mouthful. Her cat is named vagina. She doesn’t remember if they even had sex. She went on Anderson cooper and said rape is cool. She has accused 23 other men of sexual assault also. Please tell me this isn’t ok with you. Her accusations against the other 23 were so insane, they never saw the inside of a courtroom. Only trump.
These are the reasons you will lose this election if you lose it. 100 percent facts. Even democrat election analysts have been saying so everywhere
