Simple - we need another lightning rod to further divide the community.
Stone Mountain is going to get littered with all kinds memorials now just for the sake of political correctness......it's ridiculous.

Look sweetheart, I don't disagree with you. The problem lies in how the decision to build the statue/memorial came to pass, and where it's going to be located. You've taken an already contentious place and dumped napalm on it, given the two small but vocal sides.

I think you're dead wrong. The point is, you don't put a lame horse in a lion's cage and expect them to circle up and sing hallelujah. Aside from the fact that there's already an excellent MLK site in Atlanta, the decision to put another one at the top of Stone Mountain will only create more problems.
