Once facts came out over and over again that the media was lying or manipulating the public, they latched on to someone who will say what they wished they could say. A dictator might force (or strongly encourage) private communication companies to censor their users and try to create a ministry of truth. A dictator would not sit with hostile news outlets and answer questions for hours.

A dictator might force children into schools that had to teach a fed gov approved curriculum. A dictator wouldn't try to disrupt the education power structure and advocate for giving parents a choice.

A dictator might try to restrict gun rights.

Geez...even with ol' Sleepy Joe - I acknowledge that presidents may know something we don't. Getting Greenland won't help DJT personally. I'm assuming there is a major US advantage to gaining control over Greenland. I don't have a reason not to believe him when he says that it's important to our security. I'm in favor from what I see so far.
