I remember being being SO excited when Spurrier announced. Shocked too. We were soo jinxed against UF that it seemed to be in our players, coaches, heads. We haven't had much success against Bama, other than spanking them in the Natty, but it sure feels like we are/were closer with them than we were UF. Although I guess we could say we lost to both teams when we thought we had the better roster. Maybe it is still too early in the Saban deal to properly compare. I am not shocked by the Saban announcement. Slightly surprised but not shocked. Spurrier I was shocked. For that reason I will say it was more relief for me when Spurrier left. Splitting hairs here.
