Takes a batshit crazy person to say the actual truth. It is the way everyone feels other than a few hardcore democrats that have nothing left to hold on to. They should try doing a story on this. Or acknowledged this. Instead of the all is well tagline. This matters to people today. That was four years ago.

If you were punishing your son for breaking one of the rules you have in your house, and his excuse was that your other son also broke similar rules, would you response to that be “well then I guess no one is in trouble at all“? Of course not. Both are wrong.
She is very emblematic of many conversations on this actual message board as well. People have stopped expecting their elected officials to behave an ethical way, because the elected officials know they do not have to. No one is going to call them out, it’s simply going to be “well, the other side did similar stuff“. This is a bad place for politics.

I disagree with Biden's pardons. I think BLM rioters should be absolutely prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. But in no way do the actions of other lawbreakers excuse anything about the Jan 6th insurrection. And Marge, as usual, is dead wrong, people sure as hell still do care about Jan 6th.

Your viewpoints here are spot on tiv if we lived in a vacuum. If we could snap our fingers and fix both sides it would be great. The analogy you used is a good one. But is missing ten different important pieces to the conversation. Because the parents are also being pardoned for a faulty investigation into both sons. While the kids did wrong, the parents are allowed to punish without impunity or accountability. And the media covering the punishment, will only report a story that is pertinent to their agenda. While covering up one parent having early onset dementia, and the other’s penchant for excessive force. What race are the kids? This is important today. Are they non binary? If they aren’t a certain race or sexual orientation the media could give a shit. Hell, the media could be responsible for building statues for them after the fact. Even after holding a knife to their pregnant girlfriend’s belly.
I have always respected your opinion. You have been one of my favorite posters for years. You know this. We should expect our politicians to be better. That is why I wanted a reset prior to this election. Two new candidates, but we have who we have. I actually believe it turned out as well as it could going forward. Seems like a united front for change. And god knows the country needs to try something different. Even you as a pure Trump hater have to admit his demeanor and rhetoric is different this time around. It isn’t perfect, but he didn’t wait. He got right to work, and is putting in place what the majority vote wants. Let’s see if it works. I had the same opinion when Biden did his thing. I posted on this board, well at least when his polices fall flat and f the country up, we will be rid of it once and for all. You have the same chance with Trump.
Jamie Dupree - he's as unbiased as Sean Hannity. The fact he calls them Trump supporters and that they laid siege is all you need to read. It's been shown that many Govt employees and instigators were imbedded. It's also been shown that Trump implored his supporters to be peaceful. It's also been shown that the overwhelming majority were peaceful and in fact there is video of security acting like tour guides.
