@Strange_Noah requested. Here you go sir.
** I’m not Holland, CGD, etc, this is my guess based on watching both teams all year.**

Bama’s offense: Obviously a lot of the battle will be stopping Milroe from losing contain and throwing darts. With that being said. They struggle for large spurts of games to consistently churn out production(unless they’re playing overmatched teams), because of their tendencies.

-If Niblack is in the game, there will be a throw coming.
-If Kendrick Law is in the game, send 1 person to him and 1 to where Rees thinks the defender will flow away from. Those are 2 read or runs throws every single time.
-follow the motion man. If I the back meshes the opposite way of the motion, it’s split zone, QB sweep with the motion man leading, or waggle. There are no variations here.
-Their route trees VERY limited. It’s high to low come backs, sticks, out, deep crossers, or sticks n go. They don’t vary much from those at all.
-Milroe will look deep first, then intermediate, rarely will he check it down. If he does it’s a preset slip after they run all 4 other options deep.
-if they go empty it’s either a draw or a crossing throw behind the LBs if he gets them to bite. Our robber looks are a nightmare for them. We can bait that throw at least once.
-Same with the Canopy’s and releasing receivers. We will purposely have someone “bust” on Burton or Bond to bait the instant shot to the fly route.
-Both tackles have no shot with a speed rush. Latham is a top 10 pick on paper, that dude is fat, slow, and sloppy. Neither has a warm chance in hell of staying in front of Mykell or Jalon.

Bama’s D is good at rushing the passer vs inferior talent, they gas out easily(They’re giant as a team but they fade quickly). Egboige is trying to win on speed pin him and he’s out of the equation.

Tim Keenan is their weak link, up front, attack him. He doesn’t play stout, he will either get washed with a double team or guess and jump into the wrong gap. Smith’s motor runs hot and cold. Payne isn’t overly explosive. Latham is their best DL outside of 92. Their edge guys are very good, but they benefit from confusing teams and bum rushing edges. That’s going to be tough against us.

Lawson looks like a million bucks. He is very slow and stiff in space, he plays very high. Campbell is solid and flies around, still very green. Trez is solid as it gets but not someone they want in space either. That’s a giant mismatch in our favor, both will our TE’s and backs.

Their secondary has 3 guys that will be NFL starters. Kool-Aid(because the NFL will tell him to run and chase and take this king away from him), terrion Arnold will pull a Minkah and play Safety, and Downs will be a perennial all-pro. They’re all 3 sick athletic and skilled. They don’t play cohesively as a unit though. Stay away from Downs, he can warp things in a hurry. Have him chasing guys all over the place. Arnold is solid, but he can’t slam on the breaks. He’s also a big time gambler and easily susceptible to biting on things. Kool-Aid is the most undisciplined corner in CFB. He chases the wrong guy every time. They’re not near as scary as their draft slot indicates.

A huge reason for that is because Key, Malachi Moore, and Store just aren’t very good. None of them are sub 4.7 guys. They get lost in space and unless Moore can make a play in a phone booth, he’s toast. They can’t coherently defend us when we spread them out.

I say all that to say the GP will probably be run them side to side, screens, swing passes, sticks, jet motions, etc. Milton is 100% is the best choice for this game. Bama can’t squeeze our OL when we force them into their 3 down lineman looks with spreading them out. The Lb’s are slow. Dejuin is entirely too slow to the hole, they leave giant seams, you just have to hit it on time flying, that is Milton’s game. DE’s value in this 1 will be out of the backfield once they send 5 and lose people across the middle. Instead of Carson taking off, they’ll use 30 to beat the blitz over and over until they stop sending it.
