Different athletes out there y’all. One of those games where you can tell once the teams line up. We were bigger, faster, stronger, and smarter at every position. Put coaching and mentality on top of that and you get a 65-7 score. TCU could play Georgia 100 times and the results would not change.

Not even surprised our offense looked like that. Was very confident we’d get 40+ and assumed we run the clock out, but even our backups couldn’t be stopped and scored twice.

I was wrong about the defense. Truthfully TCU shouldn’t have scored. It was a fluke busted coverage play. A total gift. When you can’t snipe at an elite level this is what you get against Georgias defense. They never had a chance.

Nothing else to really say about the game. Pure annihilation and the worse loss in bowl game history let alone title game. 58 point margin. This will likely never be beaten.

Moving on to 2023. This team will be talented. Top 3 roster in America. Hopefully we keep the coaches intact because this team is a SERIOUS threat to winning it all again. A 3 peat is something that’s never been done since the poll era began in 1936. So if we do the unthinkable this will be the first team to truly do it. Hard to look at pre poll titles as legitimate.

On offense the concerns are replacing Brod, SVP, Kenny, and Stet.

On defense the concerns are replacing Chris Smith, Ringo, Nolan Smith, Carter, and Beal.

Some big holes to fill, but knowing how we’ve recruited and who we’ve already seen play that’s behind them I’m only truly concerned with 4 spots. QB, LT, C, and S.

-If McClendon stays LT is solved with either Mims or himself. If not Green will hopefully be ready because the others are true freshman that probably need some time to develop.

-Concerned about Center. Blaske, Wilson, Ericson? Really have no idea. Someone smarter than myself can give me an idea on what to expect.

-QB1 is the most important shoes to fill. Without a good QB it’s hard to win the games like Ohio St which is usually what it takes to win a title. We need Beck, Brock, or Gunnar to step up. I’m confident with how this staff identifies and develops talent there is no chance in hell they’re all busts/misses.

-Replacing Smith at S won’t be a talent issue, but an experience/leadership one. The next man up will be bigger and faster, but the ability to always count on Smith to be in the right place and make a play will be missed.

Every other position will either be an upgrade or wash. Believe me I will miss Ringo and Carter who were huge for us this year, but I don’t think their absence is as concerning considering who’s behind them. You’ve seen this last secondary class and who we are about to bring in. Someone will step up for Ringo. Losing Carter sucks because of his raw talent, but our collective front will probably be the best in America. Really like Bear to fill Carters shoes enough so that it isn’t felt too hard.

So really the main two things keeping Georgia from winning it are who is QB1? and a battle with entitlement/complacency.

People can laugh about Georgia players saying they were doubted, but it’s true. 158 voters at SEC media days chose Bama to win the SEC. 18 chose Georgia.

We all just knew Bama vs Ohio St was going to be the title game. You have to understand Young and Stroud returned. It was their moment in the sun now. Georgia and Stet were a cute story, but repeats don’t really happen. Meanwhile, that entire time poor little Stet/Georgia was in the lab feeding off this energy. Georgia was probably thinking why not us? We just did it and look at who we bring back. I know what we’re capable of and we’re going to show y’all. Boy did they!

Now here we go again. Will we be the favorites? Probably. However, the whispers have already started. “No team has ever had a 3 peat. Stet is gone! The run ends for Georgia it’s a certainty!” On top of that we are the new villain in CFB. Nobody wants us to win.

Kirby will have them juiced to the moon come 23. As long as our QB1 is capable I am extremely confident Kirby and this team will win the battle with their minds and find a way to make it back to the CFP and a chance to compete for a 3 peat!
