Tell us why ( don't make the reason long ) . Whoever names someone a head of you tell us why the person wrong in wanting that person . Please no pulling Georgia fan cards .

Norm Chow failed as HC at Hawaii, but ran that balanced and potent SoCal offense under Pete Carroll. He's getting up there in years but might be able to tutor a young up and comer. If surrounded by young position coaches who would actually listen to him.

I have nothing against Chow but I would prefer to get a younger OC, someone who could remain by Smarts side for the next 8-10 years if he so chooses.

My choice would be Tony Elliot, Co-OC from Clemson. Elliot is the primary play calling for the Tigers and it's hard to argue with the results. I also think the even keel, calm attitude would balance out the fiery Smart. I understand Elliot is relatively unproven in terms of play calling and he does run a spread, but I'd be willing to give him a long look. He could be a really good one.

I like both Mike Bloomgren and Tyson Helton for different reasons. Bloomgren runs a pro-set and he's a great OL coach.
Tyson Helton is My choice though. Culturally He's perfect for UGA. He has been excellent coaching QBs, RBs. TEs, WRs and The OL before having grand slam results in his 2 seasons as WKU's OC.
He has a great coaching pedigree and He passes the YouTube test with flying colors. He is clearly a very complete student of the game, he's a fluid thinker, he's enthusiastic, charismatic, you name it, he has the quality.
Also he's just 38, he'll be a HC before too long.

I'm very intrigued by Bloomgren and Helton too. I love that Helton has experience coaching a variety of positions, including ST. I just worry because he doesn't call the plays.

Go to YouTube and watch him talk football, it might ease your concerns.
Also he does call plays, Brohm just overrides him sometimes. Helton draws up the offensive game plans too, he's very hands on.

I hope Kirby is more like that. I never understood all the blame Schotty, but don't blame Richt. He had the headset, he is an offensive guy...never understood why he didn't ever overrule.

Why are we concerned with Kansas' future OC?

I hadn't heard anybody mention Him, but I researched Him a bit last night after reading about Kirby contacting Arkansas.
Arky's offense went from around 70th to 31st or so this season, his first as Their OC.
Looking a bit deeper though, they were among the best in CFB the second half of this season. The improvement was ginormous, and He runs a pro-style offense.
