starting this week. Then move CBS out at the end of the season and hire the absolute best OC we can, regardless of what type offense they run.
CMR has to give a sign he grasps just how inept he is with Schotty, they are lost.
Coach Lilly did an excellent job preparing for and calling plays in The Belk Bowl.
If Richt doesn't see how bad Schotty is in his role, he simply refuses to see what everybody else sees.

This sounds like a good idea. It worked out in the Belk Bowl. At this point Richt has to do something, but by the sound of the press conference it sounds like he is being stubborn once again. This almost got him fired with Martinez and again with Grantham. That's 3 bad hires in coordinator positions and that falls on him. Schottenheimer seemed like a good hire but it has not worked out that way. Based on the Bama, Missouri, and Florida games it sounds like they have enough to fire Schotty.

No doubt Richt has circled the wagons yet again. I just hope Schotty is out after the season, whether it's forced on Richt or he makes the decision, it has to be done.
I really wish CMR would give up on the idea he must run a pro-style offense. I'd be fine with it if there was a Mike Bobo available, but most young OCs run some form of spread or hybrid, that's why we had to take a pro coach with underwhelming career results. If Richt stays somebody has to make sure he doesn't pick for comfort level, we need a GREAT young OC and Richt needs to let him do his job with minimal constraints.

Richt can't stay. It's beyond repair. I'm still in disbelief the AD was dumb enough to give him an extension. The state of Georgia football is beyond pathetic and embarrassing. If there are still any Richt believers out there, bless y'all's hearts...

Richt likely will be our HC next season, like it or not.
If he is we need to make the best of it. If he can reinvent himself like Gary Patterson did, and it works, great, if not, that bridge can be crossed next year.

Not sure how much can be put on AD when there are so many other entities involved. That said, they gave CMR everything he & Pruitt wanted to supposedly be on a more level playing field, all those new support personnel, etc , the results have been horrible. I thought last year with all of this they were Kind of giving enough rope to hang himself.

If he wasn't such a great human being and won as much as he has although, not as much as we'd like,
, do you think he would still be here after last year? I don't.

I agree with that statement about getting the extra time. Maybe I'm in the minority, but if it'd been my decision, he'd have been out after the UCF loss.

He's had 5 years since the UCF debacle and 10 since his last SEC championship. I think bringing him back - again - is unwise and undeserved.

I don't look at it quite like that. Bobby Bowden could have been fired at several points before putting it together in the 80s.
I'm looking at the point Pruitt was brought in, that is when this particular course was set.
Based on just the defense we need at least another year to see it through, maybe through 2017 unless things fall apart.
That leaves the offense and STs. Whatever it is Schotty had in mind simply isn't working, we have to cut losses there.
If CMR is willing to bring in a top OC and let him do his job without much interference, I'm for playing things out a bit. Of course things could change just as quickly as they did Saturday. It could become obvious this staff has lost the players, barring that I'll be ok unless Richt holds onto Schotty or insist on bringing in another OC who hasn't had great results in his other jobs.
