Doesn’t matter if college or NFL, it seems like most coaches are doing this. I guess the metrics say to do it. Here is the scenario…….
Down 14, teams are going for 2 most of the time now. Yes I get it, you convert and a TD and XP wins the game. You don’t get it, you can still go for 2 to tie.
If you want to go for 2 to win the game, why not do that down 7? Or see how much time is left on the game and how the momentum is.
I can’t imagine Kirby doing this.
