We're going into Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas, evaluating and landing excellent talent, we never did this in the past.
We obviously have people in the background locating, evaluating and bringing these guys to our coaching staff's attention.
Watching Smith's film I completely get what they see in him. The kid has excellent length and frame, he's smooth, he's already strong at 165lb, he looks very instinctive, he catches the ball away from his body, he looks fearless in going after the ball on both offense and defense and most important, he's committed to The mighty G.
I'm imagining this guy with 30lb of good weight added to his frame. I think our back room experts are as well.

Lets hope so. I know we've been feast or famine at WR but this is one of those times (with
Eason coming in) that I would hate to look back and say "Yeah but we had no gamebreaking WR's"
or "Yeah, but our OL was porous". We NEED to put it together.

Hope Eason is a good recruiter. I think that's almost as important a factor as the coaches on the recruiting trail.

The staff has done a great job at evaluating OLs the past few years. Of course I'd like to land some 5 star guys, but as long as they keep blocking like they did last year, we'll be fine.
I've said before I think Jayson Stanley will be a real star at WR, assuming he comes back close to 100% from his ACL injury. I think we're staying away from the fast, strong athletes who haven't shown WR instincts, I won't mention names, but those types are a pig in a poke. Every receiver we signed this year showed excellent receiver specific qualities in HS.

You guys crack me up. They haven't even played their senior season yet and haven't signed on the dotted line. They may not even come to Georgia or ever play a down.
