Someone in the know, is the NCAA taking a harder look at transfers? I saw the deal where the kid from Auburn transferred to Tulsa to be closer to his family, then the NCAA said he could be on scholarship but would not be eligible to play this year. I think the rule changed after he'd transferred.
My point is that isn't that a very similar situation to Charles Mitchell? Not that he or Tech did anything wrong, but that' Hardship Waiver seems to be the only way a transfer with more than 1 year to pay could transfer in and play immediately. If we pick-up a transfer this spring, I would think we'd want a guy who can pay a couple years or so vs. a 1 year player. Of course if we can get a 1 year starter that's great.
Just trying to figure out exactly what our "market" for transfers would look like.
