Hi folks, just curious if you guys have any update on how Nick Chubb's rehab is coming along? As some of you may know, ND's freakish LB Jaylon Smith suffered a significant knee injury against Ohio State. There has been no word on what exactly happened to it, although you can guarantee ligaments were torn based on the video evidence. The way his knee looked, it looked eerily similar to Chubb's injury. I'm assuming he will still declare for the draft, but I I'm having doubts that he'll be back to the player he was all year long. I know it's only been a little over 2 months, but has their been much talk on how Chubb is coming along? Also, exactly what ligaments did he tear?

Thanks in advance!!

Sorry to hear about that it all depends on the athlete. Like Chubb no normal person would be walking two weeks after the surgery. He good expecting to be ready for the season opener. It all depends what he tore.Acl hamstring mcl I think

Hey Irish!

Chubb's injury did not involve the ACL. And fortunately no nerve or artery damage either. But here is a sentence from an article about it:

>>suffered a significant injury to his left knee in Saturday's game against Tennessee, including damage to multiple ligaments and cartilage but not the ACL,

It's too early to know much. The surgery ''was very successful'', but what does that really mean ?
He is a strong young man in every way, but He is flesh and bone, it's a serious injury with damage to 3 ligaments and soft tissue, so it's not an easy injury to predict outcome.
To echo His surgeon, I'm optimistic for a full recovery.
