Sure We can, it's very possible, maybe even likely. Richt teams only screw the pooch a game or 2 a season. Nobody else We play has Bama's talent or coaching either.
I honestly won't be surprised if we win out.
That will only set Us up to not show up in Atlanta though.

Just like We're surprised when the team spits the bit. We then go the other way and expect carry over. The reason Richt still has a job is his ability to rally the team, till the next time it spits the bit.
It's just that there are no good teams, other than maybe UF left on our schedule. They are all very winnable, but of course We might spit the bit again, or maybe not.
As much as I want a change, he has a point. UF will be tough, possibly another whipping and that, IMO will take care of the east thing. That said, UK, UT, MO, AU....weak.
Missouri has an excellent defense. With QB play like We had against Bama, they would beat Us. UF is a better team than We are as of right now. You can't discount Richt's ability to rally a team though. It's as much a part of His MO as not showing up for a game or 2 a season. Just go back to the 2012 season. We looked as bad as We've ever looked against SC. We ended up almost winning The SECCG against eventual National Champion Bama.
It won't shock Me if our coaches pull it together.
I sure wish Richt had chosen Bauta to start game one, We might well have the QB situation resolved if he had done so.
You make all of your comments on the team pointless when You post such silly nonsense. We came within a play of going to the NTG and beating the eventual champ in 2012. Shrugging that off sure doesn't strengthen Your credibility.
Not going to say we should have spiked the ball as plenty do not. That was a case of not wanting the D to get set and not a bad idea. DL for Bama made a good play getting a swat on the ball and the rest was history. That said, I am no fan of Richt.

That's not my job. That's the AD's. Just because I don't know, it doesn't mean there isn't one. That's a lame argument to keep Richt.
You're outta your mind on this one Helen. Assuming Richt escapes Knoxville, I'd say UF beats the brakes off the Dawgs this year.

That's a good question. Making a change basically comes down to two questions:
1) What are the actual goals for this program
2) Are we currently in a position to accomplish this with this staff?
If you say to be a good to very good program...then be happy, you have that. If we are to believe our AD....it is to win championship at the national level and compete for them regularly...then you're down to question 2. I am not blind to the fact that finding a coach that can get there isn't easy and much more likely to miss....but you keep trying till you get to the actual goal. That said, if you don't think we can currently get there and it is a title as the goal BUT don't favor a change...then you're not really trying to achieve the goal, you're just trying to avoid a bad season(s)
did I say anything about firing or not firing Richt? Your solution is fire the coach...so then what? Do what Georgia always does which is hire a coach with no major head coaching experience...fail miserably on two or three hires and then get lucky with a Dooley or Richt.
I wouldn't say its doing what UGA always does. UGA really hasn't had to hire a coach in the boom era of College football. As such, hiring an OC or DC was the thing to do. However, now the move is to hire coaches with HC experience and I think McGarity would do just that due to his experience with UF. UF saw first hand the difference between Zook/Muschamp and Urban/Possibly McElwane.
