Read Elevator's post on the hoop board. He's ex dawg, ex NBA, ex UGA radio guy - he thinks we are going to win. He knows his STUFF. Makes me feel a little more optimistic. I just think we are so banged up and tired that we may just fade on out Friday because of lack of quality depth, but this team has no quit in it so I may well be flat wrong. Elevator makes some really good points. We did play 'Zaga dead even for 30 minutes after we fell into a huge hole and I know, despite what some think, that we gave Kentucky all they wanted both times we played them.

same here - a Gaines that can contribute is a must ...

His always present D and often timely scoring is just crucial. Scared me to death when old Mann went down on Saturday. Big sigh of relief when he came back. He and Nemi are the only ones that haven't missed games this year - I was afraid it was his time to go down.

Would be a signature win for the program, for sure ..

I know this isn't a powerhouse Mich St team, but they made it to the conference finals and they are a traditional name team. Would be great for the program to get a victory and honestly, if we have to play a 1 seed, then UVA is the absolute best we could hope for. I'd rather play them than some of the number 2's. First things first, I know, but thinking, hoping and dreaming never hurt anybody, especially since I'll play no part in the eventual outcome anyway. I am thinking about riding up, though. Might have to be in the house for it.

Forgot we were a 10. Was thinking 9 for some reason. Oh well, they are about best best 2 seed we could play, too. Don't want any more Gonzaga.
