Not hating on the players, but I will say this was on JJ and Yante

More than coaching, JJ and Yante are the leaders of the team, a SR and a JR, and needed to calm the team down. But in the second half, both of them had just as many bad shots, turnovers and mental mistakes as any freshman could ever have in their first game. JJ especially needed to get open vs the press (we win that game if he gets the ball and gets fouled a couple times). Yante had a couple poor inbounds passes vs the press.

As leaders, they needed to get their head in the game, and today, they both failed. I know they will fix it themselves, and be down on themselves, but that is the price of leadership. And I love them both.
