Companies like Coca Cola are so saturated now the only way to grow....

the bottom line is slash costs or buy other companies.Only way they grow share is to buy more beverage/food companies

Agreed, lots of choices. They probably make more money by bottling municipal water and selling that.

I think sugar "soda" drinks like Coke are on the decline...

...but Coke will find ways to innovate to changing tastes, and keep market share with that and, as you say, buying up other companies that produce newer products.

They've had to buy competitors to keep their share even as big as it is.
