The seat backs are already old and crummy. They barely provide any support as they are, and many of them are torn and need to be replaced. In fact, all of them do, to be honest. I believe these have been the same seat backs since the mid-2000s (if I’m wrong, please feel free to correct me). There was talk last year about replacing them with the mesh ones that other schools have adopted, which look much nicer and provide decent back support. Am I missing something as to why the university still uses these old and weathered seat backs?
