He has to be starting at the 2 spot by conference play? I know Harris has looked absolutely awful in his limited minutes this year, but I started to see some of the potential I saw in him last year.
In the first 4-5 minutes last night, Parker took 4 of the first 6 (maybe 7 shots). First was sloppy lay-up that didn't hit iron. Another was a missed 3. Then a missed 15 foot jumper. Then the coveted pump-fake draw a foul on the fourth. I appreciate that Parker has been dedicated to this team for 6 years now, but he's simply not good at the 2 position.
Harris (12 minutes) and Crump (10 minutes) combined for the same amount of minutes Parker got last night. All the Crump haters on here always complain about Crump's D, but Tadric Jackson beat Parker to the basket all night on the defensive side. I just don't see the upside Parker provides our team, besides shooting the slowest free throw ever and causing opposing team lane violations on 70% of his FT attempts.
I'm very happy about this win, but we have got to get a shooting guard on the court that is an actual shooting threat. I wish Fox would give up on Crump being a point guard, let Teshaun back up Turtle, and let Crump and Harris split responsibilities at the 2.
