First, we are now 74th rpi with very little hope of winning out. Even winning out and the "magical" 2 wins in the SEC that everyone mentions but we have rarely ever actually accomplished, we will have no signature wins on our resume. We are done as far as making the dance.

So, do we continue to play the same lineup and hope for a deep run in the NIT, or do we start playing the freshmen more and let KG's hand heal and CM rest before he is off to the Greek league?

Unfortunately, this is just speculation because I believe CMF will choose option 1 so he can get wins and save his job. But to me, a trip to the NIT is not exciting. I remember 2 years ago, it was so lackluster that it was first come, first serve seating. We won a game and got waxed in the second at home. The feeling was ho-hum.

I would like to see Turtle, JJ, EW, DO and Yante on the floor together for 8-12 minutes a game from now on. Those are our starters next year and it would be great experience for them to play together. CM and KG play a lot, too, just at a lower number of minutes. Again, I am not saying tank, nor am I saying this lineup would be superior to CM,JJ, KG, DO, YM, just that at this point, it would excite me more. Sad, isn't it? Another year without a ncaat for our program and I am more excited about making chili today.
