JJ great and Yante's a man enough on those two

1. The return of the simplified offense/secondary break was nice to see. Lots of early offense and aggression. Fox allowed the guys to attack from the outset. Fox was the round hole-round peg coach today. This must continue as Kansas is going to pressure the heck out of those passes in the halfcourt making it difficult for us to run good offense without simple ball screens and all players being able to attack their man.

2. We saw the zone for extended periods of time finally! It was Finally good to see Fox swallow his ego and understand his team is not good in the MTM. Were going to need the zone against KU because while they made threes yesterday im still making them beat me from behind the line and not at the rim. The Matchup Zone needs to be this teams primary defense against KU, JJ i love him but Frank Mason is the truth and Graham can light it up from deep. JP has a tough matchup, Jackson is way to athletic for him to guard in the MTM. If were going MTM for to long our deficit could get to double digits early KU perimeter game is lethal against the MTM.

3. Smaller rotation. This here is critical against good teams. IDK if KPG and EW were injured but it was nice to see Fox shorten the rotation. We did see Kessler but im guessing EW was injured. WE NEED EW against Jackson hes electric but EW has length and Athleticism to keep him out the lane in the zone, mtm not so much. Fox needs to stick to nine guys the rest of the year and let them grow together.

4. JP is going to be important. I know he doesnt score well but his rebounding for guard has been ridiculous. He can stuff the stat sheet. Hes good on the glass and starting to become a solid playmaker. He's becoming a jack of trades, master of none AKA the real glue guy(Not Geno).

5. Third scorer by committee needs to be Foxes message. We need more nights like last night were everyone on the floor was allowed to make a play. Diatta passed up a few wide open looks, we know why and its why Fox wasnt mad at him for the shot clock violation play late. He knows he tells him not to shoot at times lmao. Hopefully Fox will continue to let the guys get comfortable actually scoring and making plays.

Overall: Big improvement from the Head Coach. We would have lost that game last year but Fox did what he needed to do. Molded his gameplan and tactics to his team and left with a good win.
