What else could the police do? Can you imagine what would happen if they had refused the (presumably) black victim's request to arrest the white guy who had smashed her car window? Rev. Al would be on his way to Georgia.
I heard an interview with the watch commander. They did everything they could not to arrest the guy, but couldn't find a loophole in the law. I would guess he spent about 10 minutes at the station, he'll pay for the window and that will be that. The lady got charged with animal cruelty. I hope she doesn't show up for court and gets arrested on a bench warrant, and goes to jail.
Speaking of in the news in a bad way, saw my old Middle school in Conyers had a gun fired in the bathroom. Sigh.

Saw that on my FB feed the other day and all the comments were things like "shocking" "Unbelievable" I thought to myself, No its not! Have you people been to Ctown lately? I would say we didnt do things like that at Edwards but my HS got shot up in 99 so, I guess my side of the county isnt any better.
True. I was in Conyers last night and have to go back tomorrow. My Dad was booked into the hospital there. He still lives in Conyers and I am trying to find a house for my aunt to buy as she wants to move closer to him. Nothing like house hunting to see how a place has changed.
