I know that nobody wants to hear another person complain about the referees from Saturday night, but I don't care. Those guys were atrocious and made complete fools of themselves. As a cruel form of torture, I rewatched portions of the game and was equally, if not more, upset at the officiating. These calls weren't ones that could have gone either way. These were absolute no-brainers. Granted, I am one of the biggest critics of referees in both the college and pro game, but I still think my opinion has substance here.

The muscular ref who wears his shirts two sizes two small is a complete clown. I just about broke my table in frustration watching him make bad call after bad call. He continued to reward Florida ball handlers, particularly Kasey Hill (who fortunately was awful from the foul line), for making average moves to the basket. On a few calls there was almost no contact at all. I know that some rules have changed this year in college basketball and more fouls are being called, but this was the first game where I thought the refs were one-sided in their officiating. I understand that the home crowd gets the benefit of the doubt, but I don't see us getting those kind of calls in the Steg. Mike White has been at Florida for 30 minutes and he is already getting those kind of calls? And he's about 5'2 on top of that? Mark Fox is the second longest tenured coach in the SEC behind Stallings at Vandy and gets no love from the refs. I'm surprised he didn't get tossed from the game. He has more restraint than I.

Could we have won this game despite the officiating? Yes, however I believe that the way the game was called had a great impact on the outcome. We are three days removed from the game and I'm still ticked about it.

There's my rant. Now lets make a run in SEC play.
